This session, featuring Andrew C. Stone, MD, MPH, Consultant in Addiction Medicine at The Eleanor Slater Hospital in Rhode Island, will review the medical literature describing the dangers of the current vaping epidemic. Evidence and outcomes for acute lung injury associated with vaping will be discussed. The vaping epidemic in youth with resultant nicotine dependence and addiction will be described as well as the concerns for the long-term health of those who have started vaping as children / teenagers.
