Nicotine Vaccine found to be Promising in Animal Trials

June

Researchers at Cornell Medical School are developing a vaccine against the addictive effects of nicotine.  The vaccine would produce antibodies that attack nicotine inhaled through the lungs, considerably limiting its ability to reach the brain.  Results with the vaccine have been encouraging in rodents and researchers hope to begin tests with human subjects by 2015.
