Veteran Smokers with PTSD May Benefit from Combined Treatment


A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that veteran smokers with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who received combined PTSD and smoking cessation treatment were twice as likely to have quit smoking (for at least 1 year) than veterans who were referred separately for smoking cessation treatment.
