National Association of Local Boards of Health Conference
Wednesday - Friday, Aug. 2 - 4, 2017
The National Association of Local Boards of Health (NABLOH) will host the "2017 NABLOH Annual Conference." The purpose of this conference is to provide attendees with information, skills, and resources focused on the six functions of public health governance. The six functions of public health governance are policy development, resource stewardship, legal authority, partner engagement, continuous improvement, and oversight. The conference will also provide time for attendees to learn about new critical public health issues. Attendees of this conference will be able to:
- Demonstrate best practices used in public health and their relationship to the Six Functions of Public Health Governance.
- Examine successful experiences and actions using the Six Functions of Public Health Governance.
- Integrate the Six Functions of Governance within the Public Health System.
- Identify advocacy and leadership roles in board of health successes.
Board of health members, health directors/officers, local health department staff, as well as all public health professionals from the local, state, and national level are encouraged to attend.
