"I’ve already started to quit!": Smoking cessation in hospital-based mental health settings

Special guest Rachel Smolowitz, Ph.D.in this webinar will address:
-          How a comprehensive smoking cessation program was built and sustained
-          Customizing smoking cessation counseling to the needs of the person
-          Troubleshooting: How we’ve addressed roadblocks along the way

Rachel Smolowitz, Ph.D., is the smoking cessation coordinator at Sheppard Pratt Health System. Dr. Smolowitz completed her doctoral work in Clinical-Community Psychology at the University of South Carolina. She has developed a comprehensive smoking cessation program at Sheppard Pratt, which has received a Recognition of Excellence in Wellness from SAMHSA, and is supported by a grant from the Maryland Department of Health. Dr. Smolowitz is focused on developing and improving programs to help people with serious mental illness to live healthier and more fulfilling lives.
